Read MorePT Asuransi Multi Artha Guna (MAG Insurance) collaborates with Habitat for Humanity Indonesia to improve public health in Mauk District, Tangerang Regency. This collaboration was realized through the construction of five decent and hygienic family toilet facilities, as part of the solution to address public health challenges in the region.
The construction of this toilet facility also involved MAG Insurance employees who went directly to the field to assist in the construction process on November 30, 2024. This participation not only demonstrates the company’s commitment to its social responsibility, but also strengthens the relationship between MAG Insurance, Habitat for Humanity Indonesia, and the local community.
“We believe that access to proper sanitation facilities is a basic need that must be met. Therefore, we are very excited to be involved in this program which is in line with our company’s vision to have a positive impact on society,” said Mr Pankaj Oberoi, President Director of MAG Insurance, while helping to build the toilets directly.
Mr Abraham Tulung, General Manager of Resource Development at Habitat for Humanity Indonesia, expressed his appreciation for MAG Insurance’s contribution. “We are very grateful for the support and collaboration provided by MAG Insurance. Together, we can help the people of Mauk Sub-district to have proper sanitation facilities and improve their health. This is a tangible manifestation of the spirit of mutual coordination to significantly improve public health and provide livable homes.”
This program has provided direct benefits to recipient families, one of which is the family of Mrs. Sofiyah. With emotion, he expressed his experience after receiving this assistance. “Thank you to Habitat and MAG Insurance for helping our family. We have long wanted to have a private toilet at home, but it has not been realized due to limited costs. Often, we feel reluctant if we must take a ride to defecate every day at a relative’s or parent’s house. Thank God, now we don’t have to take a ride anymore. Especially at night, we used to feel embarrassed. Once again, we can only thank you,” said Mrs. Sofiyah.
With the completion of the construction of these five family toilet facilities, it is hoped that the people of Mauk Sub-district can enjoy a better quality of life and a healthier environment. This collaboration is one of MAG Insurance’s concrete steps in realizing a shared vision to create sustainable change through the provision of access to proper sanitation. With the support of various parties, MAG Insurance is committed to expanding the positive impact felt by the community through sustainable programs.
